Every chain is charged for the same fixed basket. Chains carrying less than 60% of the basket are left out; missing products are extrapolated. Loyalty-card and Bonus prices are not counted.

Not in this index: Aldi (1), Ekoplaza (1) and Lidl (0). A chain needs at least 24 of the 40 basket products for a fair comparison; the number in brackets is how many it carries.
